These wonderful little pet prints can be transformed into beautiful solid gold and silver moments. But which do you choose? Different prints can lend themselves to different designs and I will try to outline below the beauty, limitations and differences between them all.

Cats:

Let's start with the smallest, because they are usually the smallest, this is where they can be limited with the jewellery that can be chosen for their prints. For example, a cat's nose has a wonderful and very fine texture. As a result most people choose to transfer these onto pendants from the wear and tear rings can get with every day wear. Because the nose is so small, the size of the charm is limited to around the same size as their nose. So if you were looking specifically for a ring, then I would recommend transferring a paw print texture. This is because it is deeper and there is a larger surface area to transfer around the ring band.

*Please note: the above advice is recommended for very small breeds of dogs as well.

Dogs:

Dog's due to their larger stature have much more flexibility in jewellery design. However continuing from the smaller breeds to small dogs. Dogs have a heavier texture on their noses and their paws meaning prints can happily go on either charm or ring bands. If the nose is exceptionally small, you may find you will be limited to a slim ring band only.

Larger breeds have the flexibility to have much wider rings created due to the larger mould sizes of their nose and paws. The larger the dog, the wider you can go.

Different animals have resembling and similar patterns, however each breed and also individually have their own unique extra elements, from age, wear and tear and what makes them who they are. When you use on of our easy to use print kits, you will see in the mould the kind of texture you have that will appear on the jewellery. If you are unsure of the size of jewellery you can extend to. You can simply pop us an email at info@angelcasts.co.uk and we can advise.
